Construction begins on new Riverside Medical Office Building
In order to provide the best care possible to our members and the community, Kaiser Permanente is building a brand-new, state-of-the-art medical office building to replace our current Riverside Medical Office Building.
When complete, the new 210,000-square-foot building will include nearly double the number of provider offices, a larger pharmacy, a larger laboratory, and expanded services including an on-site MRI suite.
Along with being a more efficient building in terms of the services provided, Kaiser Permanente is working to make the new facility a LEED Gold building. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, and looks at several aspects of energy efficiency, water usage, greenhouse gases, and other items to determine the environmental footprint of the building. If successful, this would be Kaiser Permanente’s first LEED Gold building in the greater Sacramento Area.

Expanding KP’s high-quality care to downtown
Kaiser Permanente has presented details of a plan to build a hospital in the Sacramento Railyards, anchoring development in an area described by city officials as key to the revitalization of downtown Sacramento. This announcement, along with our purchase of a six-story, 195,000-square-foot building at 501 J Street for new medical offices, is a great way to mark a half-century of providing outstanding care to the region. The flu is serious. Don’t pass it on!
Flu shots are available at no cost to our members at Kaiser Permanente medical facilities.
The flu is a serious, contagious illness that causes moderate to severe symptoms. Some people get sick enough to need hospitalization. Anyone can get the flu, but getting a flu shot every year is the best way to prevent it. The CDC recommends a flu shot each year for everyone 6 months of age and older.
